In love with the adventure nature

Ambitious, generous and adventurous – that just about sums up our Eva, who works in the tourist information office in Seefeld. Her lively and cheerful personality helps with any questions that our guests might pose. Her second home is the mountains of the Olympiaregion Seefeld, where she can explore the different experiences on offer.

Four years ago, we were lucky to snag Eva Tonnot when we advertised a vacancy in our Seefeld Tourist Information Office. A native of Söll in the Wilder Kaiser region, she first discovered her passion for the mountains at a young age on outings with her father. She fell in love with the beautiful scenery in this part of the Alps and the Karwendel counts as one of her favourite areas, with plenty of excursions on touring skis in the winter or on foot or with a mountain bike in the summer. Out of work hours, everyone realises that our Eva is almost certainly off in the mountains somewhere.

Eva loves working with people and enjoys the contact with guests and locals through her position in the information office in Seefeld. As a ‘landlord coach’ in one of our new projects she is out of the office and exchanging information with our accommodation owners. Those who have already got to know her realise that Eva’s communication and problem-solving skills are part of her character.

Adventure Nature

One of her favourite adventures took place in April last year during a trip into the Karwendel. “Really tough and yet beautiful at the same time,” Eva describes the two-day tour up to the Birkkarspitze. In the evening after work, she cycled with the mountain bike up to the Angeralm. Loaded with a change of clothes, touring skis, ski boots and provisions they climbed up to the Karwendelhaus where, together with another group, they spent the night in the winter accommodation. An early morning start in the quiet of the mountains and in the light of a headlamp took them up to the Birkkarspitze. There was no-one else to be seen, apart from a passing mountain goat. Reaching the top was for her, she explains, a feeling that is impossible to put into words. The Dreitorspitze in Leutasch and further tours are already being worked on.

As well as her love of the outdoors, she is also a keen cook. Preparing a three-course meal on a weekday evening isn’t restricted to special occasions. Eva also loves sweet foods and the smell of baking biscuits and cakes occasionally spreads through her home.  One of her newest hobbies is music and she has taken up the guitar (only ‘strumming’ in her words). A yoga session is also a regular fixture on the weekly diary. Those who wonder how she gets time to do all this will get the answer when they meet her in our Seefeld information office – Eva is simply our own Superwoman.
