A combiner with a bite – David Pommer
The young Tyrolean David Pommer is ready for the first home World Cup event of the season with two top 10 places already in his pocket. His next goal: a place on the podium. His motivation: the FIS Nordic Ski World Championships 2019 in Seefeld.
We visited David Pommer training in wonderful weather at the Casino Arena Seefeld. He is a motivated sportsman who concentrates on his goals. A successful start to the season has given him confidence and the taste for more. The training area in the Olympiaregion Seefeld is just about on his doorstep and, away from the intensive training sessions on the ski jump and the cross-country trails, he enjoys the natural beauty of the area.
David Pommer looks to the top!
The FIS World Cup Nordic Combined Triple (27. – 29.01.2017) next week in Seefeld is the upcoming challenge for the combination winter sportsman. David Pommer takes this event even more seriously than usual and it is a highlight of his tour calendar. His aim for the Nordic Combined Triple: to be fighting for a place on the podium!
Following his mountain bike accident and broken collarbone last year, David Pommer is fully recovered and ready for the upcoming competition. His successful start to the season shows that anything is possible with enough determination and perseverance. Another motivation is the prospect of the 2019 FIS Nordic Ski World Championships. He describes the home world championships as a unique occasion in life: to experience the challenge at his front door (or, as he puts it, ‘in his living room’).
We wish David Pommer the best of luck at the World Cup Nordic Combined Triple in Seefeld and look forward to a thrilling Nordic sporting event.
