Ski holidays with kids – an adventure for the whole family

10. February 2017

The Olympiaregion Seefeld offers great conditions for an enjoyable ski holiday with the whole family. The children can make their first steps on the skis or the snowboard and playfully learn how to ride – they will soon become passionate skiers here! What makes a great ski resort for kids? The right ingredients for perfect ski holidays are: Easy, flat slopes that are suitable for children, great ski areas designed for kids and highly qualified ski instructors. Family-friendly restaurants, for a break, shouldn’t be missing, too!

You’ve got the choice: our fantastic ski areas for children

You can find three amazing ski areas for children in the Olympiaregion Seefeld. “Sporti’s Kinderland” in the Rosshütte ski area offers a big children’s area with three roofed “magic carpet” conveyor-belt-lifts and the “Sporti’s Megastart”, a button-lift. This area is ideal for children of all ages –  the whole family will have a lot of fun here!

The Gschwandtkopf ski area provides the perfect conditions: Amazing long slopes, “Happy Schleppi”, a button lift, a “magic carpet” conveyor-belt lift and the “Sportalm” practice lift. Therefore, the “little ski stars” can ski and practice a lot – this guarantees a great day on skis for both children and their parents!

“Birky’s Wonderland” at the Birkenlift area offers everything that children’s hearts desire! The mascot called “Birky, the mouse” joins the kids on the slopes and makes their skiing experience unforgettable and fun. Birky loves to sing and dance and motivates the kids. While watching their children ski, the parents can enjoy the sunshine and a tasty bite to eat on the sunny terrace. And after a great day on the slopes, the Kiddies’ Disco beside the Birkenlift invites all children to dance and have some more fun. This Children’s-Après-Ski event is the perfect opportunity to cement the friendships made in the skiing lessons!

This guarantees the best conditions for a perfect ski holiday with your little ones. Get them on the skis here and they will never want to put them off again!

What happens in bad weather? Bad weather activities for your ski holidays

Children often care less about bad weather than we think – but it’s not always all about skiing! There are some fantastic activities to do when the kids don’t feel like hitting the slopes.

How about swimming, for example? Visit our two leisure pool complexes and forget about bad weather. Keen swimmers can find a wild water slide, a family slide and a toddler slide and splash in one of the children’s pools or the heated outdoor pools. Boredom doesn’t stand a chance here! Sliding and playing in the water makes tired – relax in one of the loungers and get some rest in between! Adults can enjoy the sauna areas, a perfect break for both body and soul. Relax in the Spa amenities, soak in the silence and recharge your batteries.

Your kids love animals? Visit the farm Zottlhof, the home of the hairy and cool Highland cattle! Here, you can get in touch with the shaggy cows and learn all about the farmer’s life and the origin of our food.

Or let your kids learn all about reading tracks! Our Nature Park Guide lets the children in on the secret of how to read tracks and has got fascinating and interesting stories about the animals to tell. The Olympiaregion Seefeld’s programme of winter activities offers these and many more unique experiences, free of charge and exclusively for Olympiaregion Seefeld Card holders!

Days, when Frau Holle shakes her pillows, should be used to build a snow man. Or create a whole snow man family! The kids will be building tirelessly and enjoy the time outdoor in the fresh air.

Even when it snows, a toboggan run is always fun.

Would you like to experience an adventure with your children? Then you are exactly right with us!
