Really excellent: Blessing of awards for the restaurants of the Olympiaregion Seefeld
The new gourmet guide “Gault & Millau 2020” has been published and brings a real award blessing for our region. The best restaurants in Austria have been ennobled and 5 restaurants in the Olympiaregion received a total of 12 toques (stars). The restaurant Le Treize in Seefeld is the highest newcomer of the gourmet guide. The Interalpen Chef’s Table was awarded with 4 toques. We are delighted to be the excellent culinary hotspot of the Alps at 1,200 metres.
The highest newcomer: Restaurant Le Treize in Seefeld
Passing the first test with 16 out of 20 possible points is a culinary announcement. The chef Armin Leitgeb, who runs the restaurant Le Treize in Seefeld, achieved this. He has the highest demands on his own culinary skills and those of his team, and that makes a difference. With its “Alpine Cuisine”, Le Treize’s menu offers a combination of traditional Tyrolean delicacies and the best French dishes. Here, down-to-earth delicacies are transformed in a modern and refined way. Guests can enjoy culinary delights at lunchtime and in the evening and marvel at the team’s culinary skills in the open kitchen. The guest room, which offers 45 seats, has the best view of the kitchen and offers exciting entertainment as well as delicious food.
If you would like to try the gourmet cuisine yourself, you can find a delicious recipe from Le Treize here.
Restaurant ZOMM. in the Meilerhof
“Zomm.” stands for sustainability in the team. And it is precisely this teamwork that has now been awarded with 2 toques. The restaurant with the most beautiful view in Reith near Seefeld focuses on high-quality products from the region of the field, the forest, the lake and the own garden. Seasonal dishes are served on the plate. The food is fresh and pure, easy but not simple. You can enjoy the gourmet cuisine in the spacious restaurant, in one of the cosy parlours or on the sun terrace with a priceless view over the Inntal valley and the surrounding mountains.
Interalpen Chef’s Table
The restaurant Interalpen Chef’s Table got 4 toques at once and thus the most in the whole region. There are only 38 restaurants in Austria that have been awarded 4 toques. Anyone sitting at the Chef’s Table immediately tastes why the restaurant was awarded so generously. Mario Döring swings the cooking spoon here and spoils the guests with an eight-course menu. He particularly likes to bring ingredients from his own herb garden onto the plate: thyme, sage, woodruff and lavender are mixed with local plant species such as elder or wood sorrel to create new and surprising dishes. Flower pollen also occasionally lands on the plates. The suitably selected wines round off the large menu perfectly.
Not only the Chef’s Table, also the Hotel Interalpen was awarded. The hotel kitchen gets 2 toques and is therefore one of the most exclusive restaurants in the region. A six-course menu of choice, excellent theme buffets and a gala dinner on Sunday evening await the guests. Culinary delights can be really enjoyed in six cosy parlors and the breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains in the winter garden (almost) distracts from the heavenly food.
Astoria Resort Seefeld
The kitchen of the Astoria Resort Seefeld was awarded a Gault Millau hood for the 11th time in a row. Chef Andreas Rank, Sous Chef Benedict Jakob and their team conjure up delicious creations for their guests. Their gourmet highlights should be light and delicious for the palate and the eye. The ingredients come from the region and are processed seasonally. Day guests are also very welcome in the restaurant to enjoy the award-winning cuisine.

Even more top restaurants in our region: The Culinarium Alpentraum
Not only the gourmet restaurants, but also many other top restaurants make the Olympiaregion the culinary hotspot of the Alps at 1200 metres. This also includes the hosts of the Culinarium Alpentraum, who rightly call themselves “cooks of passion”. They are an association of 7 restaurants that cook at the highest level. They also include the Zomm. in Reith near Seefeld. The Culinarium’s restaurateurs have dedicated themselves to regional and sustainable cuisine and every year in summer they conjure up a top-class culinary event that is hard to beat. In 2018 they spread out their table in a flower meadow in the Leutaschtal, in 2019 they convinced the guests of their culinary skills on a warm summer night in Reith.
